A 501(c)(3) charitable organization, The Gar Lockrem Community Choir provides grants to local schools to support music education programs in grades K-12. Singers range in age from teens to eighties. GLCC was selected as a solo choir at St. Olaf’s annual choral festival in November 2009 and most recently performed Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Dakota County Symphony Orchestra in February 2011. The choir rehearses Tuesday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., from September through April, at Henry Sibley High School, and performs about seven concerts each year. New singers are always welcome.
